Ghana Nature Tours is a tourist agency offering small-scale eco-friendly tours throughout Ghana. Ghana Nature Tours was founded in 2008 by John Mensah Agbozo and Jacqueline Slikker.
The concept behind our tours is harmony with and respect for the nature and culture of Ghana. Besides giving tourists an unforgettable experience, we also want people in Ghana to benefit. Therefore we cooperate as much as possible with people from local communities in the organization of our tours.
Our tours are arranged to suit the preferences and budget of the individual tourist and enables you to discover Ghana in a short period of time. You can choose from the many experiences Ghana has to offer. On this website we will give you some suggestions for possible destinations and activities. According to your wishes, we will organize a suitable tour.
Besides our guided tours, we also offer the possibility of car rental with a driver.
Staff
John Agbozo works as guide and driver for Ghana Nature Tours. He is a Ghanaian from the Jasikan district of the Volta region. Besides English, he speaks Ewe, Twi and Fante. John has lived in several regions in Ghana and has always enjoyed travelling. He has worked as a social worker for years and loves to share information about Ghana’s rich history, culture and society.
Kelvin Abba works as guide and driver for Ghana Nature Tours. He is a Ghanaian from the Ashanti region. He speaks English, Ewe and Twi. Besides his work for Ghana Nature Tours, he owns a NGO focused on improving water resource management in Ghana. Therefore, he is very committed to eco-tourism and sustainable livelihood. Kelvin has a background as a social worker.
Jacqueline Slikker arranges all contacts and bookings for Ghana Nature Tours. She was born in the Netherlands and is a development worker by profession. She came to Ghana in 2007 to conduct a research about attitudes towards people with disabilities for Volunteer Service Overseas (VSO) in the Central, Eastern and Volta Region. Besides Ghana, she has travelled in several other African countries and lived in Kenya for a while. At the moment she is living in the Netherlands, working for a refugee support organization.
